Blog 1 - Welcome to my Blog

Hey Everyone! I'm Ellisha Nelson or Elli for short. I'm a fifth-year student in the Art Education Program at UWM. I will begin student teaching next semester and graduate in the Spring of 2024. In previous semesters, I've fulfilled my service learning at Lloyd Barbee Montessori School and IDEAL Middle School. The picture attached is from last year at Lloyd Barbee with the kindergarteners. Last semester, I also volunteered with Art Works for Milwaukee. 

I'm studying Art Education because I want to share joy with kids through art and creative exploration. So far, my experience in the program has continued to inspire me, and I look forward to my journey after graduation. My professional goal is to find a stable work position that allows continuous learning and self-growth.
